About r2modman

r2modman is the most-used mod manager for Risk of Rain 2 and the growing Thunderstore ecosystem. It's an open-source desktop application that handles the messy parts of modding — file placement, dependency resolution, loader setup, version tracking, and profile switching — so players can focus on actually playing.

Origins

r2modman was created by ebkr in 2020, originally for Risk of Rain 2 (hence "r2"). The project quickly expanded to cover additional BepInEx titles as the Unity modding community grew. Today it supports more than 175 games and sits at nearly 9.7 million total Thunderstore downloads.
